CRAZY SPRING WEATHER!!!

So today was a nice day. But maybe if you thought that it was late fall or winter and were expecting this kind of weather. I woke up to SNOW!!! It's the last Sunday in March and it's supposed to be SPRING!!!! I can't say that I'm so grateful for it, but I guess we do need the moisture.

I'm very anxious for the spring to really come and stay!! I want to go outside and have it be 65 - 75 degrees outside and enjoy the pretty flowers and colors that come with this change in seasons. It's crazy how the weather works, and if I could really figure out how to program what I want and when I want it to happen that would be something grand. But I guess that is truly not something that will happen in reality, so I might better just go with the flow.

I also didn't like it that much because my windshield wiper totally flew off my car before I ever left my driveway!!! So I had to put the car in park and walk around just to find the wiper blade, and then I managed to get SNOW in my SHOES!!! And you all know that it quite COLD!!! But today ended up a pretty good day!! Even if it did SNOW!!!

The main reason being because my livingroom is cleaned, and the dishes are almost done!!!

HE TOOK HIS FIRST STEPS!!!

Holy Moly!! Ethan just took his first steps tonight !! I managed to pull out my camera and catch some video of it. Now that he's realized that he can move his legs -- he can't stay balanced while standing up anymore because he's trying to RUN!! He was even holding his bottle and walking 5 - 6 steps to reach Chris laying on the couch. It's crazy and he'll be one in just a few more weeks. I hate how the grow up so fast!!

Here is the one picture I took while he was taking another step. It was so exciting and the girls and Thomas were all thrilled to see him reach this milestone. I guess this week he'll be doing this more and more and then I'm in some serious big trouble again. OH BOY!!! This is going to be FUN!!

Ladies Basketball

So this last Thursday night I went to play a REAL BASKETBALL Game. Something I haven't done since college - -when I played intramurals. At any rate these ladies were way FUN, and even though we lost by two points in the last few seconds of the game, it was quite a WORKOUT!! Good thing we had enough players to have practically two teams ! ! !

I have to admit and apologize that I was a bit on the "Upset" side, but I had to remember that I wasn't in High School, and playing in the same role I did back then. I made sure to say a little prayer to myself, and once I did that I had a way better time. So since we've been playing most Saturday mornings since January -- it was a fun way to make those Saturdays worth waking up versus sleeping in (if one can do that when one has five kids!) --- Here are the ladies and we've all become good friends and I'm sure will continue to play as "pregnancies" warrant and NO that doesn't mean that I am --- but someone was and we all found out about it. So congrats to YOU!! ( She reads my blog so she'll no who she is!!)

The ladies in the photo are from Left to Right: Back Row - Jennifer King (Provo 1st), Kate Mortenson ( Bonneville 3rd), ME ( Provo 1st), Kim Yates ( Bonneville 6th) ---- Front Row : Liz Kemp ( Provo 1st), Trista Harrison ( Provo 1st), Rachel Atkin ( Provo 1st), Kanani Horito (Provo 1st), Jamie Lesko ( Bonneville 3rd), and Melissa Baxter (Can't remember what ward she's in --sorry!)

It was so much fun and I just wished there wasn't all the confusion on what quarter we were really in. Oh well -- I guess there is always next year!!

Here's our more silly and crazy picture -- since we're such a bunch of goofs!! I love you ladies. Thanks for playing.

Goal Update Time

I decided I need to do another goal update to really evaluate my progress or the lack thereof.

Visiting Teaching ~~~ January = 100%
February= 100%
March = Still working on it !!!

Scripture Reading --- I'm still in 1st Nephi -- I haven't been diligent in reading lately so I need to pick up the pace if I'm going to make it by my birthday!!! Maybe I should make sure I read my scriptures everyday before I get onto the computer!! Because I know I make sure to check email and facebook, and MY BLOG -- maybe I'll have to do that from now on!!

Raising My Voice -- I feel like most of the time I'm doing great at it -- but occasionally I lose control and .... well we all experience the moments of telling/asking something over and over to no avail and a mom/wife can only take this for so long before the "THING" gets the better of us. Guess I'm still not quite "CHRISTLIKE" like I should be. With an over abundance of patients , I'll have to focus on that part more later.

Visiting the Temple -- I am happy to say that I've been able to go to the Temple at least once a week since the beginning of the year. Although only one visit was for my sister in laws wedding so I didn't actually do any "WORK" but I was in the temple and there. So I felt the peace and love of my Heavenly Father. I'm going to go on Saturday the 22nd!! IF ANYONE WANTS TO GO -- I'll play basketball till about 10 and probably run home and shower and then go. Hopefully I can make the 11:00 session if not the 10:40am.

Getting to Bed by 10:30 -- Well I'm usually in bed around 11:30 --- maybe someday I'll actually have my act together and the act"ions" of my kids under control so that they can be in theirs so that I can have my time to unwind and go to bed myself.

Working Out -- YIKES!! I want to get a good CARDIO & YOGA DVD workout so that I can do it at home, trying to go anywhere with the boys is getting pretty hard - especially if someone isn't feeling well, and if they constantly need my attention while somewhere else -- I should just try and do it at home. I think I'll put that on my to do list this week -- and get my kids involved too - maybe???

My House being a HOUSE OF ORDER !! I so long and wish for it -- but I just can't manage to get into a routine where everything gets done. When I finally have a few minutes I'm always so tired that I can't get it done then. I think this next week I'll have a chore chart in effect where my kids can get $$ for the chores that they do ( LIKE A $1.00 a week for the handful of chores they have to do ) We'll see about it!!

An Inspector Gadget Morning

Today was one of those days that so much happened that I just didn't want to forget the events that took place. It's a Sunday and we have church at 9am -- 8:45 came around and I hadn't yet brushed out my hair, and the baby was in the high chair eating a banana and he wasn't dressed either. So I sent Chris ahead with Kaylee and Katherine and then I would join up with them later. I had Heidi, Thomas, Ethan and myself to get finished and get to church. Heidi needed her "sweater" and Thomas -- well he was ready, and then I dressed Ethan and he was ready, I had to go put my shoes on and brush out my hair. As I was brushing out my hair, Thomas hollared to GO POTTY!!! So I went and put him on the potty. He was there for a few minutes and then I finished brushing out my hair.

Finally we were ready to leave our house the time is now 9:15am -- I go outside and put the kids into the car, and then realize that the front windshield was iced over and I had failed to replace the broken ice scraper in my car, so now my window was in need of being scraped and I didn't have the proper tool to do that. So now I can't see very well out the window but if I wait for it to be totally clear, I wouldn't make it to church anytime soon, so doing something I know should have been avoided, I drove with my windows slightly iced over and bent and squirmed in my seat to see through the tiny clear spot that was on the windshield. So I drove the few blocks over to the church with the windshield that way. I made it there safe, but once I got my children out of the car we headed for the closest door, but NO SUCH LUCK, that door was locked. So we had to walk around the side of the building to the other door. We went in to the building sat down, and enjoyed our meeting.

After sacrament was over we decided that the boys should go back home with Chris and I helped him take the carseat out with Ethan and helped buckle the boys into his car. And sent home the diaper bag too!! After church was over, I remembered that I put the van key in my diaper bag that was now at home with my husband. So I told the girls that we needed to walk home, because of what had happened.

Only when we walked out, I about gagged on the smell, it was somewhat smokey and smelled really bad. So we walked the block and discovered that someone's home was on fire, and that there were firetrucks around and blocked the street off for a few blocks. They had a fire hose out that was actually hooked up to a fire-hydrant, (hopefully no-one was hurt) . So I got home and let my husband know what was going on, and that I needed to go back to the church so I get the van and drive it back home.

It was just one of those morning where everything was going quite opposite the way I had planned. It seems that every morning is this way despite my best efforts to prevent the "problems" whatever they might be. I think I refer to this as the "Inspector Gadget Morning" it always seemed that things were going awry with and for him all the time, but somehow it worked out that his problems were usually solved and fixed. Well, that is how I felt today I had one of those "Inspector Gadget Mornings" that I'm sure won't be the last.

I'm up for a FREEBIE!!

While I was in the store shopping the other night I was looking for our "BRAND" of Toilet Paper -- that we like to buy. It seems that the kind we like to buy is hit or miss for being carried at Wal*Mart. I hate the fact that I can't get the same kind every time I go shopping. And it doesn't help that I've never seen this brand of Toilet Paper at any other stores -- so I can't just go and buy it there either.

I've never imagined that I would ever have such a hard time on deciding what toilet paper I want to buy. I've tried a bunch out there and some just don't tear on their perforations very well and some, leave a huge pile of lint build-up on our countertop. So imagine wiping with a toilet paper that leaves a bunch of "lint" substance on your most private spots of your body. GROSS!!! Some toilet paper is just way to THIN!!! Being a woman, I can't just use "3 squares" to finish my business!! And I don't like my fingers breaking through when I'm trying to take care of business. Some toilet papers, are two ply, which most of the time I like. But when the two layers start separating and don't seem to be lined up together, so that when you tear it they both tear along the perforation. So now I've got a toilet paper roll with two layers messing up my DAY!!!

As if this isn't enough already, we use toilet paper as a back-up to "oops, I ran out of tissue" and need something to wipe my already non-stop dripping nose. And there again, some tissues are better than others when using them to wipe your nose!! I also have children that use toilet paper and no matter what they are taking care of, they always seem to use more toilet paper than I do for my absolute worst moments. So we go through a roll of toilet paper REALLY FAST!!!

My complaint comes because this one brand of TOILET PAPER that I found to solve all of our "PROBLEMS" regarding the subject is never available when I need it. So now that I found my solution, no other toilet paper is going to live up to my expectations anymore.

Well, I guess I can be grateful that I don't have to use a wadded up piece of newspaper or magazine or worse yet leaves!!! Hopefully in the future I can find out where I can buy this toilet paper from!!

So you are probably wondering what the heck I'm referring to, so I guess I'll mention it to you if you really want to know --- it called TEMPO.

Okay so I found an article explaining why I can't find it anymore. It seems to be that it was just a "BETA" test to consumers to see how they liked it, according to the link above it said that it was the "new charmin" at a cheaper price by good quality. Once I found this out -- I got really bummed!! I sure hope that they make it a permanent product SOON!!! Otherwise I'm going to go crazy trying to find another one just as good!!

Does anyone else find this as much an issue as I do?? Meaning that not all toilet paper is the same. I try to guage what I buy on how much $$ and the quality of the paper. But I have found with some products that if you simply call their 800 numbers on the back and let them know how you like it that they will usually offer to send you a "COUPON" for your next purchase. Not bad --- I called a few times on a type of toilet paper and I didn't really like it that much to want to BUY it again but I was willing to let them send me a coupon so that I could use or try it again on them. I'm always up for a freebie -- even if I didn't like it that much!! (UNLESS It is FOOD!) I won't eat the same food twice if I really didn't like it the first time I have it.

What's in an IDENTITY Anyways???

This afternoon I sat pondering on the thought of what it is that makes our "identies". So yes I do have a drivers license that says I'm Wendy Randolph and I was born on this day in this city of this year. I have my birth certificate that verifies that, I have bills that come to my address and have my name on them or my husbands, but I don't think these documents really give me my identy.

So I then thought about what it is that makes me who I am: and these are some things that I found to be true:

1. I have never been and probably never will be a MORNING person. ( well at least not an EARLY morning person) Yes I get up, and get myself somewhat presentable with the shower being optional every other day - depending on what I'm doing maybe a couple of days in between. But I get the kids out the door and get them to school and then I proceed to do some kind of errands while I'm already out. But I don't think well, I don't function well and I really don't start coming to life until right around 10 or so in the A.M.

2. I grew up in a very UGLY town, and very poor with members. I went to a school that was small and if it had been any smaller I just might have had the "little house on the prarie - one room school experience" But I did manage to graduate with a title of "cosalutatorian " fancy way of saying that I was #2 in my class and shared it with someone else.

3. I love to be active with sports!!! Since it's been a while that I've been involved with these on a nearly everyday basis it takes me a while to "warm up to it and get started again" but once I'm involved I LOVE IT!!!! I love to play Volleyball, BASKETBALL and I even like to attempt softball. I love to watch FOOTBALL and I even played on a flag-football team in high school and that was fun too!!

4. I've always enjoyed taking pictures of special occasions and even some not so special -- I just like to preserve those memories with not only words but photographs as well. I'm not that good and I really don't know what I'm doing but it's one of those things I'd like to develop further.

What if it's UGLY??

Just last night Kaylee was asking Chris if he had his "stuff" ready for work. Chris being confused by the question asked her what she meant by "stuff". She came back with " Your clothes, do you know what you are using for work?"

Chris said that he just takes his shower and then pulls something out of the closet. She said, " But what if it's an UGLY shirt?!" He said, " well that's the good thing when you are an adult you don't really care if it's ugly or not you just care wather it has stains or not."

So I thought : That sure is the truth !!! Now that I'm a mom, there are things that have changed since becoming one.

I used to always want to wear "white shirts and even white shorts or pants" now that I have kids all my white things usually have "stains" on them. So they rarely get worn anymore.

I used to care about how much time I spent on my hair and now that I rarely have time to do anything "Fabulous" I brush it out and throw it back into a ponytail.

I used to have a clean house when it was just Chris and I and our few things. Now that I have kids ( 5 to be EXACT!!) My house is rarely clean!! Sad thing to admit but -- it's true!! And I try to have it "picked up" but when illness and sickness have plagued me or my kids even less gets done. One day though .....

I used to be more involved with "weight-lifting" and working out!! I used to play sports all the time and now that I have kids I still get to play once a week with the women in the stake. Although I haven't been able to for the last 3 weeks or so. It sure feels good when I get to.

I used to enjoy cooking!! But now that I have kids --picky ones most of the time, the foods that I once enjoyed to make rarely get made anymore. Sometimes I feel like I'm a short order cook. But we've tried to put an end to that by saying that if you don't like what "MOM" made then you can find something to make yourself, but you clean up your own mess.

I used to have some "SPARE" time where I could scrapbook, reading, playing games, visiting with friends/family, baking and even occasionally time to actually organize parts of my home. Not anymore!!! I do have time to wonder when I'm going to get the next load of laundry folded and when will I have time to make dinner. When I'm using the bathroom I try to read then. And I try and scrapbook even though I love it -- I don't make enough time for it. Hopefully that will change real soon.

I used to go see movies at the dollar theater when I didn't have kids, now even that doesn't happen very often. We're lucky if we rent a "NEW" movie to enjoy once in a while.

I used to only do laundry 1 day a week and only have on average 3 loads of clothes, and then 4 when I washed the "bedding". Now I have about that many loads of clothes to do a DAY!!! It's insane !! I want to tell my kids that they can't wear clothes anymore and that were going to get rid of everything that we have so our "clutter" becomes "uncluttered" -- but really is that a reality?? Probably Not!!

I used to stay on top of "Everything" I have to do: dishes, laundry, cleaning the various rooms, making the bed, making meals, working out, reading scriptures, saying prayers. But now -- I always have the desire but for one reason or another they don't always get done.

I've come to the conclusion that my life was more simple before I had kids and I really didn't have "ugly" clothes to wear, but now the ugly clothes aren't so bad because they are the only things that don't seem to be "stained" because I always tried not to wear them before.

But I wouldn't trade anything I have now for things that I was enjoyed on a daily basis. I know that my children will not always be this young and they won't always prevent me from going to the store but for now I get to go with kids that are whining, begging, running, screaming, hiding and 2 minutes after we leave the bathroom the last one hollers that they have to go so I have to go clear to the other side of the building back to the bathroom, kids hollering for "POPCORN CHICKEN" or "a COOKIE" -- or the "CAN I ... Can I ..... Can I..... I want this .... I want that..... I wish I wish I wish..... my favorite of all being the I don't feel good and and I'm tired and then the baby projectile vomits across the store, and then he's leaking out of his diaper and I forgot an extra outfit and don't have wipes and already used the last diaper earlier in the trip. These days will soon be behind me and I'm afraid that I just might miss this time in their lives because it really makes me FRUSTRATED, but that I also know that they depend on me for EVERYTHING!! I know that they love me and genuinely want to "please" me when I'm at home.

I love my kids, and really try to see something good out of each situation they decide to throw at me everyday. These days of I used to.... will once again become a reality they just are hibernating for now while the children are busy learning and asking lots of questions.

It's amazing how one little comment can provoke such crazy feelings and thoughts.

What a DAY!!!

THE LOVE OF MY LIFE!! He's the reason that some of these crazy events are somewhat enjoyable. I love him with all my HEART !!!!

So now I'm glad that this weekend is finally over -- okay I'm just glad that Friday & Saturday are over!!

First on Friday I helped watch my three nephews that live in Arizona -- I watched them with my sister in law Amy at her house -- I dropped my kids off and didn't leave her house until my girls got out of school. NO! NO! I didn't watch the kids for that long but since she lives over by where my kids go to school I decided to just stay there after I dropped the girls off. It was fun being with the "boys" seeing how my husbands brother only has "Boys" and three of them!! Ben and Shantil went to the temple and then did a little shopping without the boys. They hardly get that kind of a break in Arizona -- so we decided to help them out.

Josiah is in the background, and Dayton is wearing the green shirt with a couple stripes and the baby is Gentry.

Well since I was there all day my house was in the beginning stages of "GROSS" -- so I wasn't able to wash up the dinner dishes from the previous night so now I was getting behind again. I needed to go buy black shoes for the girls, and found a few bargains!!

On Friday night after Chris got home from work we were going down to Santaquin to help with the preparations for the reception. So I was at the church helping to do some decorating while my girls were playing with a few of their cousins and my husband went to his parents house with our two boys.

This is the background that I helped decorate all the ivy and and some of the red bows and the fabric hanging from the back side -- it was pretty fun putting this all together. This heart is something that my sister in law and I helped "CONSTRUCT" her son, Jacob suggested that we make it into a heart. So each half of this heart is made with a strand of garland with some hollyberries on it. We were kind of happy with the results. And even more surprised when it was still hanging the next day.
This backdrop is part of the other piece but they chose to place this one behind the cake table and I helped hang the red bows on the left and middle.

Nick had his family at the church helping to set up things as well. And Ruth was at her house working on the "chicken salad" that she wanted served at the reception ( for which I cooked the rice) -- So after I finished helping with the decorating it was like 9pm or something like that and I took my girls the few blocks to my in laws and checked out what needed help there. Well the chicken salad needed a lot of attention because Ruth had been cutting up the celery for what seemed like hours. And if you know Ruth -- you know what I'm talking about. So I chopped up the onion and basically took charge of the making of it and just asked Ruth to get the things that I needed. We got home Friday night around 11:00pm.

The wedding was scheduled for 11:40 am on Saturday and that part of the day was going okay!! We dropped off our kids with one of my old room mates and her and her husband watched our five kids ( plus they have four of their own.) So these are the ages of kids that were there:

2 girls 8 years old

1 girl 7 years old

1 girl 6 years old

1 girl 5 years old

2 boys 3 years old

2 boys 10 & 11 months old

All the kids played well!! And Ryan and Esther were happy to help out!! Thanks GUYS!!

We left their house with the kids about 2:45ish and then we came home. The reception was supposed to begin at 6pm !! DING DING DING!!!! RED FLAG ---

Well the food wasn't even at the church by 5:30 so we could help get it ready and out on the tables for the guests -- and the bride and groom weren't there!!

So at any rate and after much running back and forth to the In laws house a few blocks away we finally managed to get some food stuff to the church!! So I was helping in an assembly line making the sandwiches using the chicken salad and another group was working on the fruit and vegetables and then another person was making the punch. If we had the food at the church by 5 pm we could have had it all on the table!! But because we had to go hunt it down, it was late getting on the table. The Bride & Groom were at least 30 minutes late getting there. No one at mom and dad's house was dressed in there tuxes or other required reception attire. The only ones I think that should be excused were Ben and Shantil and their boys. Reason being Shantil was feeling quite ill !! But they did show up towards the end of the reception. The funniest thing is that the photographer was there for about 30 minutes before the couple and couldn't really take any of the pictures --- they wanted to make the best use of his time.

ONE OF MY GIRLS TOOK THIS PICTURE!!

Yes the cake wasn't level. So it isn't the angle of the camera the cake really was "BAD" it tasted great but it looked pretty horrible. My sister in law Amy came in and placed all the red flowers for the cake.
Here's the whole WEDDING PARTY!!! Ruth's side and Nick's side --

I could go on and on, but I'll just leave it at this. We left around 9:30 and skipped out of helping to clean up. I figured I'd put in a lot of time to help with the whole weekend. My time had been served!! I think I'll make a mental note for when my daughters get married that we will have someone come in and decorate and to have the occasion catered. Once we were there and people started showing up Katherine came and asked me if she could take the camera and go take pictures -- I was surprised that they were able to get some good ones and I wasn't the one that had to go around doing all the picture taking.

Acts of Love

So I'm not doing well as you noticed by the last post, and to top it off now -- Chris has come down with a bad cold or the flu or something terrible like that. So for the moment we are both SICK and under the weather!! My ward is so great and awesome though because my first night home we had a dinner brought to us and then Saturday night one of my visiting teachers brought dinner by and tonight my sister in law !!!! WOW!!! It's been so nice and needed!! And we actually have people willing to help with meals for the next few nights as well. I've got rides arranged for my girls to get to and from school through Wednesday. What a relief!!! I thought I was going to be "OH SO TUFF" and not need all this help but when my husband nosedived into the bed this weekend -- I just wanted to start crying!!
So for the moment I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and wishing things were better for us healthwise. Trying to get rest while having 5 rowdy, energetic kids is absolutely unheard of !! SO hopefully while the girls are back at school tomorrow and the boys take their naps I can get a nap in and get some more much needed rest!!
I even have people that are willing to help with watching my kids too!! But I don't know if I really need that kind of help!! But it's amazing how everyone is so willing to help when someone needs the help and even when they think they don't need the help.
So now we are on a crash course to getting healthy because my husbands sister is getting married on Saturday and we don't want to miss it!! Assuming I can find someone to watch my kids while we go to the SLC temple. More things to deal with tomorrow!! I should go get some rest now, because it's been a long day. I just want to say thank to Kalena because she stopped by out of the blue and brought cupcakes for the family and then saw a need and just helped me out!! Acts of service like those are the ones that really make me feel cared about and loved, and that my heavenly father knows and answers prayers.

My Most Recent Trip ~~ So NOT planned! !!

Okay so this last week life has been going really great!! Up until I was leaving the Temple Wednesday evening ( the 27th) as I was walking to my vehicle at the bottom of the hill just inside the fence around the Provo Temple, I started feeling some major pain in my navel area. Almost felt like I had a very bad case of needing to do a #2 in the bathroom. So I got to my car and the pain struck hard again, so I held out until I got home, and ran straight for the bathroom, I in fact did need to go, but afterwards the pain was still strong and didn't go away. I finished up in the bathroom came out to the livingroom and laid on the floor with my knees tucked into my chest -- as much as they can be.

I didn't sleep well that night and when I awoke the next morning, I just wanted to stay in bed. I had nausea along with the pain, and when I would push in and then let go of the navel area it hurt extremely bad too!!! I tried to lift my little boy Ethan out of his crib and screamed because it hurt so BAD!!! Katherine came running in and grabbed the baby, and I hunched to the floor!! I managed to gather myself in a calm fashion again and attempted to drive my children to school Thursday morning. I wanted to scream in pain, whenever I went over bumps in the road !!

I was able to get them to school and when I came back home, I started talking to people that I knew had appendicitis in the past, and asked what the symptoms they had were like, so after hearing their stories and then looking up appendicitis on the web, I thought I could be suffering from it also!! I called the doctors office to make an appointment and the soonest that I could get one was 6:30pm that night. So Chris would be home and I wouldn't have to take all the kids and try and do this, so I managed to drive myself to the appointment and after doing some "test" mainly poking and prodding and getting an oral history of the incident the doctor was convinced that I should go to the ER!! Now I really started FREAKING OUT!!! I called Chris on the phone to let him know what was happening and said that the doctor thought it would be best to have him come and get me and take me to the ER. So now I have the whole matter of kids to worrry about too, so I thought!!! Chris had already called his parents and were willing to come up from Santaquin to stay with our kids for the night if needed, so they came up and my father in law dropped Chris off to get me, so we wouldn't have two cars to worry about!!

We got to the ER around 8:25 or so and went through getting stuck with a needle to draw some blood and found out that my White blood cell count was fine -- so there wasn't any sign of a known infection yet. They also had done a hematacrit count when I first got there as well. They had me leave them a lovely sample of urine to rule out UTI ( urinary tract infection) that came back negative. So then the next step after giving them the timeline and other facts regarding my pain, they decided that I should have a catscan or CTScan done to investigate some more.

So they had me lay down on the bed shown here, and I had to raise my arms up above my head, this now felt very painful to have my arms up so high, and my abdomen extended. They did inject a dye solution of some kind that was described like this: it may give you a warming sensation and then it will go to your bladder and you'll feel a cooling sensation that makes will make you feel like you are wetting yourself!! I did of course feel the "wetting myself" sensation and couldn't tell if I really was wet or not. Kind of FREAKY and GROSS if you ask me !!! When the scanning was done about 15 minutes later, I needed help to move my arms back down because they were completely NUMB!!! My hands were stuck in a position almost like a closed fist but the index finger was more open and the thumb was not all the way in a fist position either. They looked rather purple to me at the time also!! I was so COLD that I was chattering my teeth for the longest time, it was so NUTS!!!

After doing this scan they discovered that I didn't have anything wrong with my appendix or the gallbladder or even my kidneys, they did however notice extra fluid in the pelvic region that made them think I had a cyst on one of my ovaries that had ruptured!! So then they wanted to do an ultrasound to see if that was the case and to see if the "extra fluid" they saw was blood. I did in fact have a cyst on my left ovary and the cyst had ruptured. Once the ultrasound was finished they said that they needed to take a blood draw again and see how much blood I was loosing. So the count started at 39 and now it was at 33!! Significant loss, now I'm bleeding internally!

They decided that my OBGYN needed to get involved and let him know the situation and after hearing about the signicant blood loss said that I should stay in the hospital for several more hours for monitoring and to do another blood draw 4 hours later. Mind you I was starving and felt like throwing up all at the same time, and was told not food or water just in case they needed to do a surgery.

So around 2:00am Friday morning they had me admitted to the hospital and I had my husband go home, and try to get some sleep. Around 4am they came and checked my vitals and my blood pressure had dropped!! So they almost thought about doing the blood draw then and check the count. But the supervising nurse said that since my pulse stayed they same that I was okay to wait until 5am like planned!!

After getting a blessing from my husband and father in law -- I felt very much at peace and the news came back hours later that the bleeding at stabilized and that I wouldn't need a surgery and she had a tray of food when she told me this!! I was THRILLED!! YEAH NO SURGERY!!!

They had given me some dalotted (major narcotic) I instantly got really dizzy, and very nauseous and started dry-heaving. I had two doses several hours apart and it made me very sleepy!!! So it is a lot like morphine, and I don't like the effects of either one.

So they discharged me to go home around 2:30pm on Friday the 29th of February. I'm glad to be home and more glad that I didn't need a surgery to stop the bleeding.

My family brought me some nice pink/purple colored roses and my sister in law sent them home with some lilies!! That made me cheer up some more!!

I did get plenty scared when they said that I was bleeding inside -- and to think that pioneers and lots of women prior to modern medicine would bleed to death internally from this same kind of thing. I'm grateful that it wasn't more serious, and needed a surgery to help stop the bleeding. I don't wish this on anyone -- it really does HURT!!! So now I'm feeling dizzy and need to go lay down while the baby is sleeping and everyone else is not home. What peace and QUIET!!! I couldn't ask for more. ---- well yeah I could but I'll hold off on that for now.
