July 4th, 2009

I actually started to work on this last Monday, but after I had the first two pages put together and NOT SAVED! Of course, the power flickers off. AGH !!! So after being a little frustrated because of that I decided to wait a few days to scrapbook our holiday. So today I decided to work on it again, but this time I saved as I went along. A lesson you'd assume that I'd have learned a long time ago. Guess it wasn't learned completely. But I finished not 1 or 2 pages but 6!!! I'm so loving this. So here are glimpses of our weekend.

Halloween Fun !!

If I don't type this up now, I'll probably never get to it.
We had a lot of fun this year, I was crazy busy up through Friday and
I was busy with making two costumes,
Smartie Pants as Cleopatra

Sleeping Beauty as the Grand High Witch or Morticia.

Gutted and Carved 4 PUMPKINS :

T-Man went as BATMAN and then decided to throw an old FOOTBALL Jersey of mine on top and then he was a football playing batman. But that didn't last long so he was just batman again.

Just kidding I only carved 3 of them and Smartie Pants carved this one on her own.

Borrowed a costume from my sister in law for SUNSHINE.
She was Cinderella this year.

I threw a Halloween Party for my girls :

I also had to get my van registered again, and then I voted at the same time.

And I did it when T-Man was at his preschool class so I only had Baby Boy ,

who is morphing into Little Monster, with me. It wasn't too bad.

I also refused to make dinner so we just had leftovers and it worked out great. We had dinner early and got an early start to trick or treating and were able to get a decent family picture because we have the tripod!! What a great investment that was!!! I'm glad I bought it for our vacation. Of course, Chris played the MIB part better than I could have and my sunglasses had broken so I didn't get to hide my eyes. Oh Well. I was surprised by how many people were able to guess what we were. And I LOVE how the weather cooperated for us this year and we didn't have to bundle up in coats!! after we finished up in our neighborhood, we went to see Grandma and Grandpa in Santaquin. The kids always like to go there and Trick or Treat too!! We're grateful that they live so close and we have the chance to see them at these times. With DH's grandparents all passing away before he was born he never had the chance to get to know them. I was able to, and still have a great grandpa alive -- which means my kids have a great great grandpa still alive. AMAZING!!!! Hopefully we'll see them in about two weeks while in California. So my DH so wants to make sure that his kids get the chance to visit their grandparents and be able to make memories with them.

May 31st 2008

What a weekend!! It's been great and busy, filled with lots of family and friends!! And food too!! This weekend Katherine was baptized!! What a great day!! We enjoyed the baptismal service at the church and invited the guests over for a BBQ afterwards. What fun!!! I think we'll have to do more of those in the future. It is so great to be able to live so close to family or have the distant family travel for these occasions. We had family from both sides of our family there both sets of Grandparents were there, as they were with Kaylee too!!

Here Katherine is with her Dad right before she was to be baptized.

And I remembered to be in one of the pictures before hand!! I totally forgot with Kaylee -- I mean what more could I have done, I was only about 4 weeks post partum and healing from a c-section. So actually remembering this time was a blessing!!

Katherine got there and was surprised to see one of her best friends getting baptized the same day!! We happen to be members of the same stake so that was neat too!! Katherine also mentioned that two other kids from their second grade class were also getting baptized the 31st as well. So that was four kids in one class that we know of -- how great that is!!

Our family picture right after the service was over. Will these kids ever co-operate!! ?? Thomas was screaming and had actually lost his shoes to the floor because they slipped right off from his feet. But of course, Chris had to hold him, and so his shirt is totally being raised up. I'll look at these later in life and laugh for sure!!

Here Katherine is with her Grandparents (Chris's parents) and I totally forgot to get one with mine. Maybe next time!!

We also managed to get a picture of all of my parents' grandchildren. Seeing how I have five of them and my sister now has three, and we both live in Utah -- you would think that my parents would want to be closer but that isn't the case!! So we managed to get a good shot or two of all of the kids. They weren't very happy about it either!!

MORE MILESTONES!!

So this last weekend Kaylee was able to finally change her earrings after having them pierced a little over six weeks ago now, and she was so excited and counting the days down and when it finally came she was being such a baby about it!! Finally she let me pull out the piercing studs and put in some of her earings she got for Christmas. She's so darling, if only I can get her to concentrate on brushing her hair all the time. AGGHH

Ethan -- is nearly 10 months old, and can now crawl all over the place, he can handle the stairs in the back of the house and can even stand up to furniture and walks along the front of the couches. He'll be walking before too long !!! Then I'll really have more work cut out for me that I won't be able to handle.

We also watched the Super Bowl and had fun watching the GIANTS BEAT THE PATRIOTS!!! My men had a nice little party!!!

Thomas has been working on Potty Training now since a few weeks before Christmas and he's doing AWESOME!!! He mostly sleeps dry too!! So now I only have Ethan in diapers and within about 18 months he'll probably be potty trained too!!! Crazy --- how your kids just seem to grow and change over night!! I think I'm going to be one of those moms who is completely emotional whenever my kids get recognized for something or whenever they move from home, I don't even know that I'll ever be a non emotional woman again in my life!!! Oh well!!! That MY LIFE!!

Heidi's 5th Birthday !!

Here's my little Heidi on her 5th birthday!! August 16th, 2007 --- she was so delighted since she would be able to start school just a few weeks after this happened!! Turning 5 is always such a big milestone for the kids and the parents. She's waiting to blow out the candle on her number 5!!
Her she is hugging Grandpa and Grandma Randolph after her "Party" was over!! We are fortunate enough to have them living close by.

We just kept the party simple since, the next day we would all be busy with family for my sister's graduation. It was nice and simple on me this night.

Baby Shower Bliss !!

So this news is kind of old, but I thought that I'd post a few pics anyway!! My husband has a cousin in Tooele, Utah who is married and expecting their first child!! We're so excited for them. This child is said to be arriving in full boyhood!! Back in September they had a baby shower for her and I took a few pics to especially share with those that couldn't make it!! So enjoy!!
Tabi's sister Miti.
This is Juston's mother, forgive me I don't remember her name.
Here's another group shot looking towards the kitchen but this one happens to have Tabi's mother in it. The lady with the pink and white striped shirt with long dark hair.
This is a bear that Tabi's parents had made for the baby, says a cute little thing like "Grandpa and Grandma love you" or something like that.

Group shot looking towards the kitchen, with some family and friends most of which I don't know. Sorry Juston!!
Isn't this outfit just darling with those little wings!!

A quilt that a family member had made for the new little guy!!
Another blanket that was made for the baby!! I love the frogs!!
In this picture, only because this is the side of the family that I share with Tabi, I can tell you who they are, left to right Mary (Tabi's cousin) Mary (Tabi's Aunt), Dani (Tabi's sister) Rebecca (who is also expecting is Tabi's sister in law)

Group shot from Tabi's upper level Kitchen. Of course I'm not in any of these photos, I should have remembered to have someone else take them also.
Tabi opening up some gifts, and little Isabella (my niece -- Amy's child) looking intently on.
Juston the proud PAPA!! Looking on to see if someone got the 50" HDTV that he'd put on the baby registry. Sorry Juston no such luck -- the baby is going to have to just watch Baby Einstein videos on your current TV.
Tabi showing us the crib that I believe someone on Justons side of the family had given to them as a gift. Juston had just finished painting the room within a week or two of this I believe and it took him all night to set up this beautiful crib with a changing table connected just behind Tabi.
Here's the other side of the room with a lot of gifts for the new little guy!!
