Our children teach us what life is all about.

A lesson in History and other random oddities...

We've had a lot of fun stuff going on lately.

Just kidding ... not really fun, but a lot of stuff. (Some of it fun.)

I've been running back and forth to the school trying to get pictures and then making sure they turn out. So I can turn around and go through the process of uploading the pictures and then loading them onto the website to build the yearbook. No more running around, but just little corrections to make here and there. Good thing too. The deadline is TODAY MARCH 23!!

Thursday evening was our wards Quarterly Enrichment for our church. We were celebrating the Relief Society Birthday. And being in the Provo First Ward --- we have a great legacy of history. I am becoming more and more fascinated with history. (Not to be confused or associated with the wars and world history and such) but I really like the US history and my FAMILY HISTORY too.

There was a member of the Relief Society Presidency in our ward back in the early 1900's I believe that was present in Nauvoo, Illinois when the Prophet Joseph Smith organized the Relief Society. There were books kept of meetings, and testimony and we are so lucky to have such history.

We spent Saturday last, working in the yard, I worked on cleaning up flowerbeds, and trimming up Rose Bushes. I have a bush and half left to complete, but the beds are cleared and we've enlarged our garden with more enlarging to come. But then around 3:00 we headed south to Santaquin to my in-laws to help them prune the PEACH trees that we so LOVE to help eat in the late summer early fall. So we learned how to "properly" prune the trees, (which I hope won't diminish the number of peaches that end up growing). We were tired and exhausted, and ended up being there till 11pm because we were waiting for our "DINNER" to arrive. The kids were getting quite hungry and antsy but we fed them snacks like, bread, apples, cashews etc...

It made for a really long night for everyone, but I'm glad that we were able to go down and help prune the orchard.

Now onto some more not fun stuff but really has to be done. The dishes, laundry..... everyday kind of things that didn't get done on Saturday due to all the outside work that we did. So when I get the house in a better shape of organization than the blogging will again commence and I won't feel bad for not getting the cleaning done. And I have to hurry and do this because with all this SPRING time weather coming right around the corner, I'll want to spend lots of time outside enjoying it... so I'm off to get started..... oh wait... just a few minutes and I'll have to pick up the girls, better get something started for dinner and then come home and start washing dishes.

Oh the never-ending cycle of MOTHERHOOD.

  1. Wow you are busy! All good stuff though. It's so much better having stuff to do... but if only that housework would do itself just ONCE in a while...
