Our children teach us what life is all about.

Need I say more???

AGGHHH!!!!

Need I say more?? What?? You don't know what I'm agghh about?? Well, let me tell you ....

First off, my keyboard has decided that it doesn't want to work. Huh?? How am I typing then, a dear friend has lent us a keyboard for the time being. (I'm glad I didn't give it back so eagerly, now.)

Secondly, I have more "chores" in this house to do, that can't seem to just stay "done" once I've done it. So then I think, why bother. So I don't. Until I have too. Like, when I have no more clean silverware in the drawer, or there aren't any clean bowls, no plates.... and the list goes on. Guess it's time to just use disposables. (Maybe not. That can get co$tly.) So I have a big ugly mess of dirty, nasty, used a few nights ago, smelly dishes staring at me, and I want to run the other way and scream "NOOOOOO". But that isn't reality. At least the running away and screaming "NOOOOOO", all the other stuff is so true. (remember??? I don't have a dishwasher).

Thirdly, I don't ever seem to get "going" in the day till about lunch time, and then I only have a few hours to get anything done. I'm still trying to find some balance, with all the interests that I have, and the obligations that have become neglected. Thus, dishes apply here, as well as the 3-4 loads of laundry needing to be finished folding and then put away. But along with this, I have sewing projects I've been putting off, and more recently, wanting to learn all I can about digital designing/scrapbooking, reading (which I seem to do on a regular basis). Needless to say... there is never enough time in a day to do "everything" I want to do. So I pick and chose, and sometimes, I don't chose wisely. i.e. Lack of clean dishes, or an overabundance of dirty ones.

Forth, the darn yearbook!!! Yes, I enjoy working on it, but the fact that we have a deadline coming up on Monday and really only two of us have been doing anything with it, kind of stinks. I'm busy trying to get "club" pictures, and then upload to a website, where we build the book, and ...on and on.... so after Monday ... I'll enjoy life a little slower.

Fifth, not getting to spend time with "friends". I wish I had more time to split between everything. I get rejuvenated by spending time with friends, comparing recipes, thoughts, talking about our childhoods, our dreams, our interests .... etc...

  1. Oh I feel the same way about my house. I spent 3-4 hours in the girls roomk cleaning it! And AMAZING enough it's still clean today! I didn't get to the kitchen yesterday, So TODAY it is my priority and of course playgroup if you are still doing it! I also feel rejuvenated by the time I spend with friends. Don't forget the RS birthday party tomorrow! Enrichment....

  2. Wendy!! You are welcome to come hang out with me anytime!! If I didn't have a kindergartener I would come to you! I know how you feel about the house thing. Usually I can stay on top of things, but after I do them it is soo annoying how easily it gets messed up again. What can you expect having 5 kids..you know? Hang in there!

  4. I'm coming over from Mormon Mommy Blogs, asking for your help. I am in the running for a round trip airfare paid ticket to Connecticut, to meet a friend I became acquainted with through blogging. She is a super fun person and is holding this contest. I entered a funny story titled "Grapejuice Floaties, Now Marry Me." The person whose story receives the most votes will win a trip to meet this generous lady, whom I'm hoping to meet. The voting ends tonight-midnight. I used to be ahead but there is a story coming up from behind out of nowhere, and it's a tight race now. I would so much appreciate your help. Her blog is www.becausemomsaidso.blogspot.com and the voting is on the sidebar on the right. "Grapejuice, Floaties" Just go there and cast a vote for me, please. Thanks so much-you're awesome! ♥♥
YOUR VOTE REALLY WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
